A1. YourSpecialDays is a unique service offering you the opportunity to have your own personalised web site created to help you and your guests celebrate your wedding day.

Q2. How do I use YourSpecialDays?
A2. It's simple. Choose a style and a package, complete the enquiry form and go through the checkout. We'll then contact you by your preferred contact method and then we'll start to build your pages with the content you've supplied to us. We'll also give you access to your own secured area so you can keep an eye on our progress as we build your pages. After your wedding you and your guests have 28 days to upload digital photographs through your secure upload screen. We will format the photos and optimise them for the Internet and place them on your pages. You have overall control over the content of your site and can request the removal of any photographs during the maintenance period. Once the maintenance period has expired your site cannot be edited or manipulated unless you purchase a further maintenance period.

A3. Once you've completed the enquiry form and checkout, we'll email them to you.

Q4. Do you create sites other than wedding sites?
A4. Yes. Please see our Other Services page for details. We can also recommend DorwardMedia if you're looking for a corporate web site.

Q5. The style templates aren't quite what I want - can I have something different?
A5. Yes. We can create you a bespoke site from scratch and give you complete control over the look, feel and content. Please use the contact form to let us know what you want.

Q6. How do I extend the maintenance period?
A6. Go to the order form and select this from the drop down menu.

Q7. I don't want my site visited by anyone I don't know - is this possible?
A7. Yes. Your privacy is very important to us and we will not divulge anything about you to third parties without your permission. Whilst we will take care to keep your site out of the public domain, it will be visible through search engines. Therefore, to ensure you are in complete control of who visits your pages you must purchase a package with a secure password entry.

Q8. Can you create additional scripts such as Java and Flash for my pages?
A8. Yes. Please contact us to discuss what you want. These will be charged on a adhoc basis and will always be quoted upon prior to starting the work. All work must be paid for prior to commencement.

Q9. How long does it take from placing my order to my site being "live"?
A9. We estimate 14 days from receipt of your payment and enquiry form, but as every site is different, this cannot be guaranteed. We will always give you an estimate based upon our workload and your requirements prior to beginning work on your site. To ensure we have sufficient time to build your site and give you time to send the link to your guests, we request a minimum of 28 days notice prior to the date of your wedding.

Q10. Can I add to my site in the future - such as my wedding details to my engagement site?
A10. Yes. The long term vision of YourSpecialDays is that our sites become your personal photograph albums, celebrating all of your important life events - from engagement to marriage and anniversaries. Please contact us to discuss this in more detail.

Q12. How long will my site be "live" and viewable?
A12. Your pages will remain "live" as long as YourSpecialDays continues to trade. Should YourSpecialDays cease trading we will contact you to give you notice of the impending closure of your site.

Q13. Does my site have to appear on the Portfolio page?
A13. No. We will request permission from you to use your site for promotional purposes.

Q14. Does YourSpecialDays operate an email broadcast service?
A14. No. The promotion of the site to your guests will be your responsibility.

Q15. What can I upload onto my YourSpecialDays site?
A15. The content of your images and text must not contravene our decency guidelines. In short, we will not allow photographs or images of a pornographic or indecent nature. Text content uploaded onto your site must be factually correct and must not be defamatory or libelous. You will be solely responsible for the content of your site and YourSpecialDays will accept no responsibility for any actions brought by third parties as a result of the content of your site. Q16. Can I transfer my YourSpecialDays site to another hosting company?
A16. In normal circumstances this will not be possible. However, if YourSpecialDays ceases to trade, we will under certain circumstances allow the transfer of your pages to another hosting company. There will be an administration charge of £50 payable for this service.

Q17. Who owns my YourSpecial Days site?
A17. YourSpecialDays retains the intellectual property for your web pages, the styles, formats and address. The content of the pages will be the property of the owner - ie the person who uploads the text and photographs. You have full editorial rights over the content of your site during your maintenance period.

Q18. What will my YourSpecialDays web address be?
A18. www.yourspecialdays.co.uk/yoursurname
In the event of two clients having the same surname, initials will also be used to create a unique address.

Q19. Can I have my own address without the YourSpecialDays prefix? ie www.yoursurname.co.uk
A19. Yes. We can register domain names on your behalf but the name of your site will be dependant upon the domain names available at the time of your request. YourSpecialDays cannot guarantee any names, but we will try our hardest to get a name that is relevant and acceptable to you. There will be an additional administration fee of £50 for this service.
